From February 22 to March 18, Farm Radio International is inviting African radio broadcasters to participate in a four-week online discussion on agriculture and climate change on the Barza Discussions platform.

“The e-discussion will:

  • introduce the topic of climate change and agriculture,
  • discuss how broadcasters currently report on the effects of climate change on farming,
  • discuss what farmers are telling broadcasters about climate change, and encourage participants to exchange ideas on climate change programming, based on the needs of their farming audiences,
  • discuss how broadcasting weather information can help farmers, and
  • demonstrate how climate change affects women and men farmers differently.”

The discussion will be held in both English and French. Please visit BarzaWire for more information.
