FAO is working with rural communities in Southern Africa frequently affected by natural hazards -- mainly droughts, floods and cyclones. With financial support of ECHO and working with implementing partners, FAO has gained important knowledge on how to increase the resilience of hazard-prone communities in the fields of agriculture and food and nutrition security.
